 The Electric Human?

Electro-magnetic or bio-electric fields surround all living things. The field is also known as an aura.  They say the aura is both an energy field and a reflection of the subtle life energies within the body.

Hooey?

The National Institute of General Medical Sciences investigators have developed a new non-invasive medical device called the Bioelectric Field Imager. They plan to use this device to measure the electric field near small wounds in volunteers. Their hypothesis is that the electric field is an early stimulus for wound healing and the magnitude of this field will vary with wound healing capability.

Every cell of the human body is charged with electrons and protons.  99% of the body is composed of 6 elements:

1. Oxygen (65%)
2. Carbon (18%)
3. Hydrogen (10%)
4. Nitrogen (3%)
5. Calcium (1.5%)
6. Phosphorus (1.0%)

The heart has an electrical current that can be measured on the surface of the body by electrocardiogram

Neuron Firing

Brain waves are weak electrical signals given off by the firing of millions of nerve cells.

Like the EKG of a heart, brain energy can also be measured at the surface of the skin (EEG).

If these electrical waves can be measured outside the body...do we know exactly how far outside, or how fast, they travel?

The brain’s ability to establish and sustain relationships with other brains, even at a distance, is possible when the interaction fits just right.  This is the concept behind ESP, extra-sensory perception.  There are different aspects of ESP.  Telepathy is the ability to sense communications from and/or communicate with people in remote locations.

We accept that animals are sensitive to shifts in energy.  There are many accounts of their odd behavior just before earthquakes, tsunamis, or other disasters.  We agree that they can detect the moods and sometimes health of their owners.

The persistence of energy fields lends itself to credible accounts of the so-called paranormal.  There are many documented cases of people able to feel changes in an electrical field, like those of an electrical storm, before a bolt of lightning strikes.

Just a century ago, phone communication through airwaves would have been magical.  Today, the energy and signals of the inanimate world are harnessed, measured, and accepted.

These same electric fields are generated by humans on a smaller scale, and when they are cohesive enough to be "read" by the more sensitive (perceptive) - the fields are interpreted as "paranormal" events.

In 2004, a workshop was held by the World Health Organization (WHO) when public concern was raised about electro-magnetic fields.

Radio-frequency energy, microwaves, magnetic fields from electrical power systems, X-rays, ultraviolet light, visible light, and static magnetic fields are all electromagnetic energy; but they have different frequencies.  Some wavelengths have a stronger impact than others, and people differ in their sensitivity to the frequencies.

Therein lies the science behind "the Cloud" - and the Hunter's perception of its existence.
